Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book a place at an event run by MEN — Manchester Elite Networking. By booking, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to us before you pay and we'll explain it plainly — we would far rather that than have a surprise later.

You must be 18 or over, and booking either for yourself or for someone who has asked you to. Please book honestly: a place is a seat in a room of a size we have planned for.

MEN is pay-as-you-go. There is no membership to buy, no joining fee, no annual commitment and nothing that renews itself. You pay for the event you attend, and nothing else.

The price shown at the moment you book is the price you pay. Events are typically £50 including a premium buffet lunch. Payment is taken in full at booking, and your place is confirmed once payment clears.

Prices include VAT where it applies. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.

Rooms are deliberately finite — that is part of the point. Places are allocated in the order bookings are confirmed, and once a room is full we close it rather than overfill it. If an event sells out we'll open a waiting list and offer places in order.

Life happens. If you can't come, you may send a suitable colleague in your place at no charge, provided you tell us before doors so we can update the guest list. After the event has started we can't make that change.

Cancel at least seven days before the event and you'll receive a full refund. Inside seven days, we'll hold the value of your ticket as credit towards a future MEN event, valid for twelve months. We'd rather you got another good room than lost your money.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, within ten working days of us processing them.

Occasionally a venue, speaker or date moves. We'll tell you as soon as we know and, if the change is significant, offer you a full refund or a place at another event — your choice. If we cancel an event, everyone is refunded in full automatically.

We can't cover travel, accommodation or lost earnings beyond the price of your ticket, so please book accommodation with flexible terms where you can.

MEN is a room for conversation, not a pitch competition. Selling is fine when someone wants to hear it; pressuring, harassing, discriminating or making anyone feel unsafe is not. We ask people to leave without refund where necessary, and we won't hesitate.

We photograph and film at events for our own promotion — the website, our listings and social channels. Tell a host on the day if you'd rather not be in shot and we'll respect it. If a picture of you appears and you would like it taken down, email us and it goes.

A premium buffet lunch is included in the ticket price. Tell us in advance about dietary requirements or access needs and we'll do everything reasonably possible; the venues we choose are chosen partly because they take this seriously.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else we can't lawfully limit. Subject to that, our responsibility for a claim connected with an event is limited to the price of your ticket, and we aren't liable for indirect or business losses such as lost profit.

The MEN name, logo and the content of this website are ours. You're welcome to say you're coming and link to us. Please don't reuse our branding or copy our pages as your own without asking.

If something fell short, tell us. Write to the postal address or email below and we'll come back to you within five working days with what happened and what we propose to do about it.

If any clause of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continue in force, and we'll replace the affected clause with one as close to the original intention as the law allows.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
